The Sunflower Cottage was perfect! The location was gorgeous and quiet. Charley was able to accommodate for an early check in, which was appreciated! The guest book had great recommendations for local activities and restaurants, but we also enjoyed relaxing in the tiny home and in the private fire pit area. There is also a beautiful sunset watching spot within a 10 minute walk! Thank you, Charley! We will be returning.

Well laid out tiny home. Had AC and a nice sized bathroom. We loved the shelving too. Very cute place.

The tiny house is lovely and well furnished with everything you need for a short stay. We stayed there on our way to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and it has been a much better experience than staying in a motel in the city. We loved the surroundings, the view and the patio outside. We did not manage to use the bbq area but it must be amazing to organize a bbq night there. We do recommend this place.

This is my second time staying here with my dog (Woody), with the first being 3 years ago. It was still the same quiet, peaceful, and cozy place I remember - perfect for a getaway and if you need a nice little remote work setup. I'm very picky about mattresses, and like last time found this one to be very comfortable! The location is amazing with so many outdoor opportunities in pretty much every direction. I know exactly where I'll be staying the next time I'm in the area!

I highly recommend this stay. The location is stunning, the place is equipped with plenty of kitchen essentials and toiletries, everyone we ran into was friendly, it accommodated our dogs, the place itself is really cute, and the communication with Charley was great. It can get a little hot during the day, but wasn't uncomfortable as long as you kept the shades closed and AC/fans in smart locations. If you arrive past dark, pay close attention to the directions Charley sent. It would have been easy to find in the daylight but we definitely had to use those directions when arriving after dark. It's a tight fit, it's a tiny house overall, but there is enough space to unpack and stay comfortably for a while. Thank you Charley, we really enjoyed our stay!

Great place!

Stayed for a week with my dog while working remotely and exploring the area. Great jumping off point for Black Canyon NP and Grand Mesa. The outdoor space around the tiny house is even nicer than expected - both for outdoor seating / hammocking and walls with a river view. Charley has a whole book of suggestions for the area which was helpful. Tiny house had everything needed, and more kitchen gear than expected for such an efficient space. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Wonderful stay! The views from the grounds were beautiful. The place was fully stocked with everything we needed to have a great weekend. The outdoor space with the table and hammocks was great to relax after hiking during the day. The layout of the interior was very functional and felt very spacious for a tiny home. Charley was very helpful and responsive! Would absolutely stay here again!

This was our second time staying at the Sunflower Cottage and we are already looking forward to our third time. Charley is a great host and the cottage is a great place to unwind and relax after spending a day exploring the nearby National Parks. The private fire pit and a sky full of stars was our favourite part of our stay.

Perfect little cabin for one person or two. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was just right with everything you might need, full size fridge, great shower with a seat, full bathroom, really just perfect. Would love to stay again in the future. Very quite and peaceful. Charlie was so nice and I felt he was sincere in wanting to make sure I was completely satisfied during my stay.

This little cabin was an ideal spot for a quiet work-cation. Close enough to a lot of fun things, but well-removed from noise and distraction. The views are amazing and the wifi reliably fast.

Enjoyed my time here very much!! I arrived after dark and had difficulty finding where to go, but I was able to get ahold of Charley and he was very kind and able to help me get to where I needed!! The mountain views are absolutely breathtaking. The bed is super comfortable. I have stayed in many tiny houses and this one had the best shower with the most hot water!! Will absolutely be staying here again!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sunflower Cottage. The property was even better than described in the listing. We really enjoyed our stay as the little house was the perfect balance between cozy and clean with just enough space for everything we needed without feeling too small or cluttered. The property also had extras as well as providing all the necessities and more for us to enjoy our stay (condiments and spices for cooking, plenty of firewood to enjoy s’mores right outside the front door). The only downside was after staying at the property my partner is now trying to convince me to sell our home and buy a tiny home just like the sunflower cottage.

I loved this place, it has beautiful views, a great outdoors area, it’s cosy, well equipped, and the temperate control is very effective. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a quit place to stay.

The Sunflower Cottage is a peaceful, cozy cabin with the absolute best views on the property. Sits at the far south end of the site (4 homes in total) with sweeping views of the river, hillsides, and the San Juan mountains. A great place for one person or two. Super private (did I mention it faces nothing but a sweeping view?!). Loved the fire pit and grill area - the hammock was perfect for stargazing. Especially liked that everything is all one level inside the cabin - no climbing a ladder to get to bed. If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and snag this cutie, and don’t forget to visit Big B’s a few miles down the road. Ciders, live music, and rope swings. Great stay all around!

Great spot. Clean and solid tiny home setup with camp site vibes out front. The fire pit, hammock, fire wood, seating outside was a really nice arrangement. And the wifi was BLAZING fast. Would def book again.

The place itself was very clean however any time the toilet flushed (no matter what use) a strong smell of sewage formed. Luckily the sheets smelled amazing and could get a bit of rest by having my head covered. If you can get past that, the place itself was cute and stocked with amenities.

I requested a very last minute stay at Charley’s property, and he was super quick to reply and invited me to book with him! I had mentioned that I would be arriving late and he confirmed that I could check in whenever - something I really value in an Airbnb experience. It was truly one of the cutest places I have found on this app! An ultra cozy and well decorated tiny house with beautiful views. It was also very well stocked with anything you might have forgotten on your travels. The single cup coffee maker was a great plus for the morning too! The outdoor area was awesome too, and hanging in the hammock was the perfect way to start the morning before starting my drive. I just wish I couldn’t spent more time there and taken advantage of the fire pit! I will definitely be trying to book again anytime I decide to soak at Orvis Hot Springs, as it’s only an hour north of there. A very well deserving 5 stars, all around! Thank you so much Charley!

What a special place! Charley made it easy to enjoy the space with thoughtful touches. I especially appreciated a full easy-to-use kitchen setup and woohoo for having recycling! You also get the most out of your cleaning fee and it felt "Airbnb Luxurious" to not have to take out the trash and strip the sheets like you often have to do. The stargazing is top notch as well. Saw the Milky Way every night. I would definitely stay here again!

Charley’s place is perfect to go and chill at night and even during the day. He gives you firewood for your fire place which I found very helpful as well as a beautiful view of the stars, sunrises, and sunsets.

This was such a disappointment to arrive at a Run down filthy place that did not match the photos .We immediately contacted the host for a refund. We took photos, for the host but he was not interested in seeing the condition of his property. He informed me that he lives hours away .He sent someone to the property where we showed her why we could not comfortably sleep in this nasty environment. The owner agreed to refund our money.I will spare the ugly photos and details. As a business owner myself I believe this is a prime example of not "minding the store "

Magical!! This space is such a gem- don’t regret not booking. Stayed before a hike in San Juan to break up the drive and it was the perfect place. Comfortable, beautiful, quiet, and stocked with everything you could need. Don’t miss the little spot across the street down to the Gunnison (directions in Charley’s info book). Can’t wait until next time!

This spot is exactly what you get from the photos. If your goal is peace and quiet with access to Grand Mesa or within a couple hours drive to Crested Butte without spending the money it requires to stay close to it then look no further. Charley was accomodating and dollowed through with any concerns or questions. Also take the chance to hang out outside and watch the starry night. The milkyway is definitely visible with your own eyes.

We had a very relaxing stay in the Sunflower Cottage. This cute little tiny home was so cozy and perfect for unwinding and unplugging. I loved all the knickknacks and books on the shelves everywhere. The views were amazing. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunsets and stargazing. We would definitely recommend!

We had a very special outing here. Exactly what we wanted and needed. Definitely recommend the mini hike listed in the instruction book. The views out the window were amazing. There were visitors in at least one of the other properties while we were here, but the private design and the distance meant we barely saw or heard them. We will visit again, thanks!

We had the best time! We've had a couple of crazy busy weeks and this was exactly what we needed to relax. The location was so peaceful and we loved the house itself. So nicely art directed with lots of fun decor without feeling crowded. I could literally live there for a year. You can tell Charley has poured his heart into making this great. There's a nice walking path with some killer views just to the right of the property, the dogs loved it. Will def return!

Beautiful getaway with amazing views and secret river walk.

Such a cute place to stay right off the highway. Not too bad of a drive to Dominguez-Escalante, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Would definitely stay here again.

This tiny home was really cute and super clean. It had all the essentials, even single use toothbrushes in case you forgot one. The yard is shared and large. It was plenty of room to walk the dog. The driveway was large and rounded as well. We were even able to pull a 3-horse bumper trailer with tack room through the drive without having to backup. If you’re in the area and need a quiet place to stay for the evening, I highly recommend.

LOVE! Stay at this place! This place is surrounded by mesa mountains and canyons, and Gunnison river all in one place and one view. The drive in from Denver is the most scenic drive I've ever taken. 10 min to Safeway grocery. 10 min to Chinese restaurant (didnt go anywhere else, but other places around). I felt really safe. There is a super short trail across from the house (3 min walk) and it talks you down a creek/farm irrigation to an overlook over the gunnison river, farmland, mountains, and mesa. It is also stocked with fire wood and has chairs there. I loved this place.. Tons of firewood, a grill, and hammock outside. I worked from here and brought my dogs. Its so beautiful! The house also has tons of older style books and a coloring book, and cute things like that. I really enjoyed my time here and am coming back to spend more time. There's also tankless water heater - so you don't run out of hot water 10 minutes too early like most other mountain homes I've stayed in

If you promise not to tell anyone about Charley’s place I will give you the inside scoop. Promise? Value for money? It's a steal! Good for the soul? Almost as good as my grandmother’s chicken soup! Enjoy the scenery? It's a million dollar view all day! Safe and secure? We slept like babies!! Spacious? No silly, it's a tiny home!!! Would I stay again? You bet!!! Take time to enjoy a sunrise hike, a firepit and smores, the stars above as you sway in the hammock. Build rock stacks, snoop the library of books (I enjoyed the Steinbeck) and most of all be amazed that you found such a charming place for such a great price...arent you the clever one!!! And remember, shhhhh don't tell anyone or they'll all want to stay here, trust me on this

Quiet, clean piece of respite I was looking for after a couple long days in the woods. Do everyone a favor and never put a tv in this place. Hate for someone to miss out on the stars.

This sweet little place rocks! I would come back and work from here for multiple days doing telemedicine and finish each day happy as a clam. The Dominguez Escalante nearby is breathtaking, and the taco truck down the hill is deelicious. Really loved the feel and the privacy and the stars at night. These little tiny homes really allow one to feel excited about waking up and getting outside to have an adventure. The outdoor hangout features were awesome. Will defo return! Thanks for making such a cool place for people to stop over.

As far as value for money, this place can’t be beat. The tiny home is artsy, comfortable, warm and inviting. The views are million dollar views all day long and the opportunity to see the stellar-scape are priceless. We felt both on top of the world and incredibly small all at once. My husband took full advantage of the hammock and I happily indulged in s’mores galore over the fire pit. We enjoyed all four seasons in the five days that we stayed and our host accommodated our request for a portable A/C as summer arrived on Tuesday. The heater was appreciated and kept us toasty when winter fell on Wednesday and by the time Spring had sprung on Friday….the trees began to bloom and we packed out to head home. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, the stove burned hot , the fridge was cold and the kitchenette met our needs. We are sure to be back soon. Thanks for the stay Charley!! Cheers

This tiny home was SO CUTE. We fell right in love. Bed was super comfy, and I have a bad back. We didn't try using the stove, but it looked new and function, I think propane? Not sure. Shower was handicap accessible with a seat. It was a little close to the other airbnbs on the property, though there is privacy with the blinds down and staying on the front side of the house. There are goat heads in the yard so watch your feet!! Super cozy, we loved our stay with kitty and dog, will definitely be back!!!

I really enjoyed my weekend retreat at the Sunflower Cottage. Sunlight fills the charming cottage which is stocked with everything one might need. I was cozy even on a very cold weekend. Stepping outside the cottage, one can feel a connection with the vast landscape and the wide open sky. Look closely for the secret trail to a beautiful vista overlooking the river and great for viewing spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Also, you can explore the trail down to the road along the river. I appreciated every moment and will take away fond memories of my visit to the Sunflower Cottage

We had the infortunate situation to arrive in minus 10 degrees and snow, and the heating was not functioning. So we made a fire to stay warm and stayed almost the whole night in the car with the heating on. The day later we bought a heater. Charley promised to discount 1 night but never did. 2 nights later, the electricity fell out at 11 pm. We called Charley, and he did not answer and told us to sort it out. Again, we were up for the whole night around a campfire and in the car in order to stay warm. Then we agreed upon leaving early and changed the reservation at the last minute. It snowed like crazy and without having slept the night, we started packing and wanted to leave at 1, but the snow delayed our leaving. We had the car running and almost full when 2 sherriffs arrived and treated us like delinquents while they clearly saw we were on our way out. Charley claimed money back for the firewood we used, and I sent him 490 USD! We always acted from the best will possible.

We loved our stay! Charley was both clear and communicative without being overbearing. The tiny home was exactly the amount of space we needed - it didn't even feel tiny! There were also not a ton of checkout tasks which we appreciated. Would stay again!

Cute and cozy tiny home close to tons of sights and hikes. Easy access with great views, peaceful and quiet! You'll forget you're minutes away from Delta and close to Grand Junction and other larger cities. Perfect for a long stay or quick getaway/stay-cation like we did for our wedding anniversary. My husband and I had a lovely night at the Sunflower Cottage! Everything is laid out very nicely and it was quite cozy and clean! Cute place. We came in dark so a little hard to find. The dark was cool though because we started a fire in the pit by the house and admired the stars. Nice little add-ons like smore fixins. Loved our first tiny home stay here.

What an incredible experience we had staying at Charley's rental property! He was a stellar host and communicated clearly and regularly about anything and everything we could possibly need. The check in and out processes were flawless and simple and the condition and cleanliness of the rental was far beyond what we could ever find renting a hotel with far more charm. Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Sunflower. It is perfect for two people. Charley is an amazing host. You're provided with an abundance of firewood and kindling. The stars are beautiful at night and the ac works great. An amazing plus is no excessive cleaning is required so you can have a true vacation. I would 100% stay here again.

Go ahead and book Sunflower cabin, I assure you won't regret. It was a pleasant surprise when we arrived and saw the place. Everything is so well thought, the view is incredible. Yes, its tiny but its also comfortable and cozy. We were supposed to spend one night in town and stayed one more thanks to the awesomeness of the cabin, and it was worthy!

my dog and i loved it here. this place has good energy and the house itself is so cute! it’s private, quiet and cozy. i travel alone and was scared that i’m going to be in the middle of nowhere all by myself but there’s plenty of “civilization” around in case you need it lol it’s pet and 420 friendly, the night sky in the colorado country is to die for and it’s definitely better than staying in the city. i would for sure come again !

i had a great week in the Sunflower cottage! it was a perfect fit for a solo traveler: cozy, tidy, secure and very private. i especially enjoyed the little campfire. the host was perfectly accommodating and very responsive.

Sunflower cottage has all the charm and coziness you could wish for in a tiny home away from home. Clean and well-stocked with everything you need. Close proximity to gunnison gorge and much need desert solitude.

This tiny house was absolutely adorable. It was a great stay for just me and my fiancé, very clean and in a quiet neighborhood.

This is a great dog friendly cottage with beautiful views. We love the fire pit and river access.

Definitely recommend. If you need to get away, this cute and cozy tiny house is for you. We went during winter and let me tell you that I loved it. Great view of the mountains. Try that with some hot chocolate or coffee in the morning and you will fall in love.

As close to perfect as it gets… Only complaint is that I can’t stay longer. I hope this place is listed next time I come through CO!
