FAQs

Payment in full is due upon booking.  Twenty percent of your payment is a non-refundable deposit.  This payment/deposit will secure your booking and dates.

At the time of booking, we ask our guests for a security deposit of $200. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved before you arrive and then automatically released after departure. If there is no damage, there is nothing you need to do. If there is damage, this security deposit may be applied to repairs or replacements.

The %20 of your booking which you paid as a deposit is non refundable.  The other %80 you can be refunded up to five days before arrival.  A cancellation within five days of arrival will result in no refund at all.

Well behaved pets are welcome in 3/4 units on the property for a pet-fee of $50.  This fee will be charged after you have indicated that a pet is coming along.  The Green Fish proved to be too difficult to host pets and make ready for new guests. Only The Green Fish is not pet friendly.

Sometimes, you may!  This depends on the outgoing guests before you and the incoming guests after you.  The best way to secure an early check-in or a late check-out is to make me aware you want one in advance.  The best timing to ask me is the day before or the day of arrival for an early check-in.  For a late check-out, please contact me as soon as possible.  If I can accommodate you, I’ll do my best.  Late check-outs on Saturday or Sunday are not usually possible as it is the weekend for my cleaning team too, and I don’t want them waiting on you to exit to begin their day.

There are several small but cool towns nearby.  Delta, Cedaredge and Hotchkiss are all the closest and each have groceries, gas, restaurants and cool little shops.  There are many other towns of various sizes in the area to check out and I’m happy to provide recommendations on things to do in each.  Just ask!

The property itself is very easily accessed by paved roads the entire way.  It is not difficult driving terrain in the immediate area and no 4X4 is necessary.  If you must drive over mountain passes (coming from Denver or the East) check cotrip.org to find driving conditions on the way.

You may start a fire in the firepit of your unit only.  You may only do so on minimally windy occasions.  For fire safety information about the day you want to have a fire, please call the Delta County Non-Emergency help line.  They will help you.  That phone number is (970)-874-2015.  You must fully extinguish your fire when you are finished.  Often I will have provided wood for you to burn, but not always.  It is difficult and expensive to keep wood on site and stocked.  You may always buy more at any convenience store in the area.
